What software is available on the Makerspace computers?

Answer

There are two powerful PC computers available for student use in the Makerspace. 

Some of the software included is:

  • Adobe Software Suite (Including Acrobat Pro, Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom)
  • Solidworks
  • FreeCAD
  • Audacity
  • Camtasia
  • Solar 2-D
  • Gimp
  • Inkscape

The Makerspace is also open to suggestions if there is a software you think we should have. Please email us at  librarymakerspace@ul.ie with your suggestions.

Library Services

Library staff are available to offer help and advice online, please fill out our Ask Us form with your question.

During the summer semester the Library Ask Us service is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 8pm on the following Thursdays, 29 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June, 14 August, 21 August, 28 August and 4 September. 

The Ask Us service is not available on Monday, 2 June due to the public holiday.
