What is Makerspace?

The Library Makerspace forms part of the Library Digital Edge and is a collaborative space where people experiment, innovate, create, fail and start over again. 

The Makerspace offers free in-house access to a range of emerging technologies and tools, which include 3D printers, a 3D scanner, Cricut Maker & heat press, Arduino and MaKey MaKey.The Makerspace also also offers free arts and crafts, such as card making and acrylic paints. There are also soldering irons for technology repairs.

Makerspace is in the library, room GL1-035. It is open for users to drop-in during the following hours: Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm to 5:00pm. 
Outside of these hours, the Makerspace is open by appointment, please contact us in advance to arrange at librarymakerspace@ul.ie.

The Makerspace is closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Training & workshops are advertised at Training & Workshops . Workshops are entirely beginner friendly, no experience is necessary.
