Ebook Central Account Locked

I have been trying to sign into my Ebook Central account. I forgot my password and now seeing this message: "Sorry, you have exceeded the number of sign in attempts allowed by "accountname". Please try again later."


Answer

The Ebook Central Platform is a separate service the Library uses, which is why you had to create your own account.

According to their FAQ website, you have been locked out of your account and you must wait five hours before signing in again.

The Library is unable to reset this, as Ebook Central is a separate website to our Library services.

If this problem keeps happening after your five hour lockout, you will have to write to Ebook Central support (URL: https://support.proquest.com/s/submit-a-case?language=en_US).
