EndNote Help: My Microsoft Word document is corrupted / My References are Formatted with Hashtags
I’m getting extra characters in my Word document after adding Endnote references.

This usually happens if 'Instant Formatting' is turned on accidentally.
In Word, on the EndNote tab, make sure Instant Formatting is turned off.
