How do I request a thesis?

Answer

Use the Library Search or the UL Research Repository (ULRR) to find a thesis

  • Once you have found a thesis in the catalogue you can request it at the Information desk or on the library catalogue, if you have an issue making a request email libinfo@ul.ie.
    • Theses are for consultation only and may not be removed from the Library
  • Where full text is available via the ULRR there will be a weblink.

Copies of UL Hardback Theses cannot leave the Library building and must be returned to the Information Desk before closing.

Library Services

Library staff are available to offer help and advice online, please fill out our Ask Us form with your question.

During the summer semester the Library Ask Us service is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and from 9am to 8pm on the following Thursdays, 29 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June, 14 August, 21 August, 28 August and 4 September. 

The Ask Us service is not available on Monday, 2 June due to the public holiday.
